Wisconsin small, independent businesses owners need a voice in state government. WIB has a full-time lobbyist who advocates on behalf of the needs and concerns of small, independent businesses.

Provide Legal and Accounting Services

WIB members spend long days at work. They don’t have time to spend hours on phone tracking down answers to legal and accounting questions. WIB provide them with access to its legal and accounting professionals.

Assistance with State Government Programs, Rules and Regulations

State government is comprised of 17 administrative departments and 12 independent executive agencies which collectively employ approximately 70,000 workers. Helping small, independent businesses navigate through the state government bureaucracy is part of the job for the WIB small business advocate in Madison.

Clearinghouse for Government Information

Every day, state government churns out thousands of pages of reports, bulletins, rules, regulations and forms. WIB sifts through it and provide its members with news they can use. .
